[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; height: 600px; border-left: 10px solid #c0b0a1;] Welcome to your site young blood ALICE KEMPTON TURNER [/style] [style=font-family:times; font-size:10; letter-spacing: 6px; line-height: 2px color:#c0b0a1; text-transform:uppercase; font-style: italic; ] you're a wizard, harry nicknames: Ali, although she much prefers her full name. date of birth: April 7 age: Seventeen gender: Female sexual orientation: Heterosexual occupation: Student bloodstatus: Pureblood financial status: Upper Middle Class year: Seventh house: Gryffindor wand: 10 1/4 inches of Birch with not one, but two strands of Unicorn Hair for its core. allegiance: Order of the Phoenix canon: Yes Tell Us a little about how you look height: 5 ft. 8 in. weight: 130 lbs. hair: Dark brown and wavy; usually chest-length. She looks down a lot when she's speaking, so not many people recognize how beautiful her eyes are. distinguishing features: She has a small scar at the nape of her neck, but she will not tell anyone how it got there. intended face claim: Clara Alonso overall: At first glance, Alice seems and looks like a perfectly ordinary girl. However, the more time that one spends with her, the more they notice the little nuances of her appearance. For example, how does she keeps a perfectly good tan all year long or how is she always able to look like she is blushing? Out of all of her features, one would say that her eyes are the most unique. Their forest green color stands out against her tanned skin, and they draw you in once you get a good look at them. They say that the eyes are the window to the soul, and Alice's soul is pure and natural. As for the scar on her neck, it's no big issue. Alice was merely walking in the woods one day when she was young, and she was frightened by a loud noise. She stumbled backwards, falling and hitting her head on a sharp rock. However, she will not tell anyone this story because she does not think that a Gryffindor should be able to be scared so easily. Alice is very proud of the House that she was placed in, so she always shows school spirit by wearing her Gryffindor robes. She enjoys wearing skirts and dresses underneath her uniform, along with flats. She doesn't much prefer heels, and often wonders why women put themselves in such pain. and then a little about yourself likes: 1. Her owl 2. Gryffindors 3. Reading 4. Care of Magical Creatures 5. Alice is a very good listener. 2. She's brilliant at Care of Magical Creatures. 3. She's very loyal to her friends and family. 4. Alice will stand up for anyone or anything that she believes needs her help. 5. She is very open-minded, and will not judge anyone before she meets them...even if they are from Slytherin House. weaknesses: 1. Alice can be a bit too trusting at times. 2. Although she's quiet, she has a bit of a temper. 3. Her family. If anyone wanted to truly hurt her, all they would have to do is do something to them. 4. Pretty clothes, especially dresses! 5. Anything sweet, especially maple syrup. boggart: Alice sees the boggart turn into her family, lying dead on the floor. erised: Her greatest want is to find her true love and to start a family with him (however cliché that may be). overall personality: On the outside, Alice is a very quiet, laid-back Gryffindor. She doesn't cause any problems, always turns her homework in on time, and is very peaceful. Alice enjoys reading books in the common room in the corner in silence. Many other Gryffindors who do not know her often wonder how she was placed in their house in the first place. She is not the typical Gryffindor, but she is courageous in her own way. Alice is very open-minded, and she will stand up for anyone or anything that needs her help. Bullying is not something that she takes lightly, and more than once she has ended up in the Hospital Wing because she has gone up against someone else who is much stronger and faster than she is. But Alice does not see the fight that she will ultimately lose, she sees a poor creature who needs her help, and she is determined to give it. However calm she may seem on the outside, the inside is a whole other story. She has a big personality, but not many people get to see it. Only those who are able to break past her shell are able to see what a fun-loving, loyal person that she is. She's also a romantic at heart. While other girls flit about, gossiping and giggling in their gaggles about their dates in Madame Puddifoot's Tea Shop, Alice would love nothing more to spend a night inside, in the Room of Requirement or the common room cuddling on an oversized chair by the crackling fire. She hasn't found the right person for her yet, but she hopes to soon. This is her last year at Hogwarts, and with a war brewing in the near future, she doesn't have much time. history your family and such parents: Julia Anne Turner (nee Withers) - 39 & Andrew Mason Turner - 40 siblings: Quinn Andrew Turner - 18 & Marcus Liam Turner - 16 pets: A dark brown owl named--what else?--Cocoa. born: London, England overall history: When Marcus was born, he formed a bond with his sister as well. It seemed as if everyone's attention was always on her, and so Alice tried to be the best child that she could possibly be, always living up to everyone's expectations. Her childhood passed by happily and fairly uneventfully. Alice's sense of protecting those weaker than herself emerged at a very young age; she would always stop her brothers from hurting the little squirrels that would often run into their backyard. Alice was born in a quaint little house in London, finally fulfilling her parents' wishes for a baby girl. Ever since she was a child, she was a Daddy's Girl. Her first word was "Dada", and she always reached for her father, not her mother. Her father was just like her: generally quiet, but strong and courageous on the inside. As soon as she was born, her older brother Quinn instantly formed a bond with her. He was incredibly protective over his sister, even more so than his brother. Quinn believed that it was his duty to take care of Alice, just as it was her duty to take care of Marcus. Alice was extremely and understandably upset when Quinn turned eleven and received his letter to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She went with him to Diagon Alley to go and get his school supplies, which was a magical experience of its own. Her favorite place to visit was the Magical Menagerie, with its exotic animals and pets. She had a way with the animals, especially a dark chocolate covered owl. Her parents bought it for her, with a warning not to use it until she received her letter. As Alice started school, she had a twinge of guilt in the pit of her stomach leaving poor young Marcus all alone at home, but it was quickly replaced by excitement and anxiety for the upcoming school year. She was Sorted into Gryffindor without much difficulty, although Alice had been fairly certain that she would have been in Hufflepuff. However, the Sorting Hat saw something in her, something that she did not see in herself. Alice bonded with her fellow Gryffindors fairly quickly, even though she wasn't particularly looking to make friends. Not only with Gryffindors, but she also bonded well with a Hufflepuff named Frank Longbottom. Frank was a friend, that was all. Alice is still looking for her Prince Charming, although what she may not realize is that he may have been next to her all along. now for the person behind the character alias: Star age: 16 experience: well over a few months where'd you find us?: Relashio's ad board. And Emma. anything to add?: My posts tend to be fairly long once the plot is developed. And I've been told that I tend to over-plot things way into the future, but if the person I'm RPing with has no problem with that... Also, if I was stuck on a deserted island, I would only bring one thing: the T.A.R.D.I.S. What else could I possibly need? lastly the roleplay sample Alice kept her head down as she walked through the hallways, occasionally looking up and swerving out of her intended path in order to avoid a nasty collision with a giggling gaggle of girls or a couple snogging in the middle of the corridor. She tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear as she walked towards the grounds; she planned to go meet with the animals and care for them a bit before her next class started. "Alice!" a voice called out behind her. She looked up, spinning around and smiling as she realized that it was just Eliza. "I need your help." Alice frowned a bit, wondering what the younger girl could possibly need from her. Eliza had been one of her closer friends; even though the two were a year apart and had grown apart ever since...well, it didn't matter anymore. Alice was still on good terms with her, and she intended to keep it that way. "What is it, Eliza?" she asked quietly. Eliza motioned her closer, pulling her into a nearby empty classroom. "I found...something. I don't know what it is, but it's hurt. I thought you might be able to help, since you know, you're so great with magical creatures." Alice gasped, placing a hand over her mouth. "This is an animal?" Eliza nodded, and Alice's heart went out to the poor thing, wherever it was. She nodded, checking her watch. "Yes, all right. I'll meet you at midnight in the common room." Alice walked out of the room, hurrying to Potions. She had missed her chance to go out and see the magical creatures, but helping a hurt animal surpassed that any day. Here's one of a more developed character: Smirking at him playfully and arching one eyebrow, she replied, "Doesn't the perfect gentleman realize that that was a personal question?" She had actually chosen a very recent memory: the one of him teaching her how to cook. Although it had not turned out as well as either of them had expected, she appreciated the effort, and thanks to him, would quite literally treasure the memory forever. She grabbed his hand, pulling him close to her for a light kiss before letting go. "Follow me. I want to show you something." Vera led Nikolai to her favorite place in her home: it was where the garden, the forest, and the lake all met one another. "I call it 'le jarlaçêt'," she said, twirling around a bit before stopping in front of him. "Now close your eyes. I would do it myself like in those romantic muggle movies, but I forgot my heels today." He rolled his eyes, but did as she said. Quickly pulling out her wand, she whispered a spell before pocketing it, saying, "All right, you may open them now." She smiled as he gasped, knowing he was experiencing the same feeling of astonishment that she had when her parents had first shown her the spell. The light blanket of snow on the trees were shimmering, nearly turning into glitter; the smooth surface of the lake froze over completely, turning into glass; the roses glowed with a bright light that made one happy when they looked at it. Vera turned their shoes into ice skates, pulling him out onto the lake. When he hesitated, she took his hand forcefully, reassuring him. "It's all right, I've done this plenty of times before. I cooked for you, Nikolai. Come dance with me." And a dance it was, one of falls, laughs, movement, fun, and most of all happiness.
